Rubber Tree

Rubber Tree 'burgundy'
Ficus elastica

It's a dark horse that goes against the grain of your typical green-leafed houseplant. It's of the ficus family and produces a white sap that was used to make latex rubber back in the day. If you're looking for a stunning, low-maintenance, and rubber-producing plant, boy do we have a plant for you.

Sunlight:Medium to bright, indirect light.

Water:Once a week or when soil is nearly dry 2" down.

Pets:Toxic to pets. Sorry Buzz.

Size:About 15" tall and a pot size of 6".

Pro-tip: Wipe down its leaves to remove dust build-up, which prevents it from soaking in as much sunlight as possible.
