Rubber Tree, Large
Rubber Tree 'burgundy'
Its a dark horse that goes against the grain of your typical green-leafed houseplant. It's of the ficus family and produces a white sap that was used to make latex rubber back in the day. If you're looking for a stunning, low-maintenance, and rubber-producing plant, for all of your weird rubber side hustles, boy do we have a plant for you.
Medium to bright indirect light.
Once a week or when soil is nearly dry 2" down.
Toxic to pets. Sorry Paul.
About 3~4 feet tall and a pot size of 10".
Good for jet setters. It can handle 2 weeks of neglect.
Pro-tip: Wipe down the leaves to remove dust build-up, which prevents it from soaking in as much sunlight as possible.
